Nuts from Classic Cornucopia Wood Carvings Toggle
Notice the spectacular detail in one of Grinling Gibbons’ classic Cornucopia furniture carvings. Gibbons was a Dutch-British sculptor and wood carver who is widely regarded as the finest wood carver in England in the mid-17th century. Gibbons was appointed to master carver to King George I, and was commissioned for work by King Charles II, King William III, and many others. His work can still be seen in London today.
