Our own products are produced by local craftsmen, using local raw materials.

Since 1975, John and Rae Packard have operated Packard Cabinetry of Sea Cliff, NY. Clients are drawn from the Metro New York City area and throughout Long Island to find expert cabinet design, products, installation, and service. Kevin worked with them for 15 years before moving to the Carolinas. Now the Packards, Kevin, and the staff of designers have joined together to bring this same service to western North Carolina and the Upstate.

Kevin Smith enjoys a reputation as a distinguished artisan of custom cabinetry, which began when he was in his teens. Working along with his father and mentor, Arthur Smith, Kevin was determined to get every detail right when installing cabinets.
Kevin was commended for his carpentry skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide personalized customer service right out of the gate. Clearly he loves every step of the process, and gets great fulfillment when seeing a project through the installation.
For over 30 years now working in or around cabinetry and design, Kevin has become specialized in every phase of project development, from design, build, and finishing cabinets and custom carpentry, to installation. This degree of expertise enables Kevin to partner with clients, visualize their desires, and use his technical know-how to create quality custom cabinetry.
Kevin and his wife Denise moved from New York to take root and raise their two children, Kevin and Vincent, in the Carolinas, where they have done so happily since 2007!
In 2009, Kevin partnered with John and Rae Packard to form Packard Cabinetry of Hendersonville. Together, they bring over 100 years of experience to the leadership and design team. Kevin’s work has been featured in House magazine, Traditional Homes – Better Homes & Gardens magazine, Carolina Home & Garden and Five Fork Neighbors. Kevin considers his work art, and as such, he is honored anytime a client gives him a canvas to work with. He intuitively understands his clients’ needs for functional cabinetry design, as well as their desire to have a masterpiece to be appreciated by future generations.
Brodie Smith began his 20-year career in cabinet design while in Canada. He eventually became a partner in a custom cabinet shop, and owned a cabinet store in Petoskey, Michigan for several years.
In 2011, Brodie and his wife, Bev, migrated with their dog, Mollie, to the warmer Hendersonville, North Carolina climate to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Brodie has continued his career in cabinet design as a valuable addition to Packard’s team. He has a keen ability to partner with clients and exceed their expectations with quality design.
Brodie’s work and custom designs have been showcased in national magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens as well as regional publications such as Northern Life, Traverse the Magazine, and Carolina Home & Garden.
Jaqueline Silva was born in Coimbra, Portugal and was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina since the age of two. She studied Art and Design at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in May 2016. After graduating she decided to relocate to Asheville, North Carolina for the rich creative culture and her love of the mountains.
Jaqui has always been interested in creative expression from a very young age and enthusiastically participated in art classes throughout schooling. She is also interested in many forms of Dance and performs locally with a lyrical/ballet performance group. Jaqui has embraced the outdoor culture of living in the Western Carolina Mountains through avidly taking part in hiking, camping and rock climbing in her free time.
As one of the newest members to the Packard Cabinetry Team, her role is to assist with every aspect of the design process. Jaqueline believes that Interior Design impacts each of us in a very unique way, both physically and mentally. Creating a universally healthy and functional home environment is essential to feeling at peace and grounded within a living space.
