Cove Neck Classic White Kitchen
The original kitchen in this lovely North shore long island contemporary home was isolated at the end of the house back by maids room, mud room and laundry room. The design challenge, conceived by Rae Packard, CKD of Packard Cabinetry was to open up to the right of the range wall in order to feel connected to the space to the living/family room. Sink wall was given and the back wall was loaded with tall items. The island in dark cherry with double edged Taj Mahal quartz counter top, is a lovely contrast to the linen white cabinetry by Rutt Hand Crafted Cabinetry on the perimeter. Tall wall , built into the wall to provide the space on the eating side of the island; with Sub zero, wall ovens warming drawer, and coffee bar. L shaped kitchen with island, transitions into eating area with an entertainment storage run of cabinetry in dark cherry wood. existing greenhouse brings in the exterior light beautifully.the bar transitioning from the kitchen to the formal dining room was visible coming down the hallway from the front foyer so it had to reflect the antiques in the home and stand on its own.
John and Rae Packard are the consummate professionals. They were involved in every aspect of our new kitchen design. The planning phase involved multiple meetings and design ideas to assure the perfect outcome. John's 40 years of experience in Cabinetry design was invaluable. His knowledge, honesty and integrity gave us great confidence that the final outcome would be ideal. His attention to detail was truly amazing. Just when we thought things were perfect, he made things even better. He worked within our budget and helped things move forward by involving himself in all aspects of the project. The Packards really became personally involved which had a calming effect during each phase of the master plan. We are very happy with the outcome . Our thanks to them in helping us create our “Dream Kitchen”.
