Sands Point Colonial Renovation

The kitchen in this Sands Point traditional colonial was updated with a transitional style kitchen. The full overlay New Yorker door is one of the contemporary styles recently introduced by Rutt Handcrafted Cabinetry. The Benjamin Moore simply which is punctuated by a Wolf gray island and accented with industrial style lights. The layout alteration which significantly improved the functionality of the kitchen was moving the cleanup sink and dishwasher from the island to a separate wall which created a cleanup zone apart from the work zone. Adding the prep sink to the island eased the congestion of the work space and provided an easy access to the Wolf Range and other cooking appliances. The Subzero Refrigerator and pantries were situated on a separate wall.
